3A Girls Soccer All Star Game

Story by Dave Risley, Sports Information Director – postyourt.org

West 1 East 0

Game two was a defensive contest from start to finish. The only goal was scored by Culver Academy ’s Jasmine Soo with 2:10 remaining in the first half, which gave the West the edge and, ultimately, the game.

Soo was named Most Valuable Player and Anne Wilson of Plainfield received the Mental Attitude award for the winning West team, while Batesville’s Olivia Blanken was Most Valuable Player and Megan Hardesty of Edgewood received the Mental Attitude award for the East.

“I’ve been playing soccer since I was three years old,” Soo said. “I think my strength is awareness, when to pass the pass, and when to attack the goal by myself. I hope to go to Washington and Lee University in Virginia and play soccer.”

PHOTOGRAPHY

Below is a slideshow of some of my favorite photos from the match. Click here to view them as a gallery or click here to view all images from the match.

If you would like to order prints, you need to go to one of the photo galleries. Once you are in the gallery, you will see thumbnails of all the images. Click on a thumbnail and you will see a much larger version of the image. Above the larger photo you can click on Add to Cart to save the photo and once you have all the photos you like selected, you can check out, pay for the prints and they will be sent to you. If you have any problems or questions please contact me.

I tried to take photos of as many people as possible but am sure there are some I missed. If I have no photos of a specific individual, it was not intentional and I apologize. Other photographic duties limited the time I had available for each game.
