West 6 East 1
No one scored in the third game of the day until there were less than 15 minutes to play in the first half. But from that point until intermission, the West was very productive.
Brooke Polus of Lake Central got things started with a goal at the 14:40 mark. Two minutes later, her Lake Central teammate, Ashley Doreski, banged a ball into the net for a 2-0 West lead. Zionsville’s Hadley Stuart then got into the act, scoring goals at the 8:50 and 1:05 marks of the first half for a 4-0 West lead at halftime.
After intermission, Franklin ’s Amanda Tresslar added to the West lead with a goal at the 24:51 mark. The East finally got on the board at the 20:24 mark of the second half, as Indianapolis Tech’s Stephanie McCoy converted a penalty kick for a score to cut the West’s margin to 5-1. Tresslar wrapped up the scoring on another goal with 10:11 to play in the game for the final 6-1 score.
“I was happy with my play today,” Tresslar said, “especially since I didn’t know most of these girls before today. This is a great event, as it allows girls to get to know one another. The weather was perfect and the crowd was awesome. I didn’t expect this many people to be here.”
Polus was the Most Valuable Player for the victorious West squad, while Kristen Haseley of Zionsville received the Mental Attitude award. For the East, McCoy was named Most Valuable Player and Skyla Handshoe of East Noble received the Mental Attitude award.
“We had a strong team,” Polus said. “It actually looked like we had been playing a long time together, even though I didn’t know a lot of the girls before today. Even in warm-ups, we bonded well. I had a great time today.”

I tried to take photos of as many people as possible but am sure there are some I missed. If I have no photos of a specific individual, it was not intentional and I apologize. Other photographic duties limited the time I had available for each game.
