East 79, West 77
The East boys raced to a 45-30 halftime lead, but the West staged a comeback to take the lead 71-70 with a little over two minutes left.
With the West clinging to a 77-76 lead, Taylor Wischmeier of Brownstown Central buried a 3-pointer with 12.5 seconds left in the game to give the East a two-point lead, and the West’s final shot missed the mark.
Taylor Wischmeier and Austin’s Benjamin Raichel led the East in scoring with 12 points each, and South Adam’s Nick Teeter and Pete Nicksic from Andrean added 11 points apiece.
The West’s Phillip Titus from Indianapolis Washington took game-high scoring honors with 15 points. Teammates Mitchell Patton of South Knox with 13 points and Forest Park’s Colin Welp with 12 points also reached double figures.
Nick Teeter won the 3-point shooting contest and Taylor Wischmeier was named MVP.
